The work includes all labor, equipment, and materials to complete in every detail the work indicated on the plans and specifications. Specifically, it involves all work incidental to the Wildwood Park Bridges & Boardwalks Bid Package B2 as part of the Wildwood Park Observation Tower and Trails Project, including, but not limited to, demolition, earthwork, drainage, boardwalks construction, paving, and stabilization. The work can be generally summarized as a 675' timber boardwalk. Instructions to bidders: SEALED, SINGLE-PRIME BIDS from qualified bidders will be received by the City. Bids shall be marked "SEALED BID," addressed to the attention of Mr. Mark Nottingham, and include the Name, Address, and License Number of the bidder, and the type proposal enclosed. Each bidder must show evidence of licensure under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes. Performance and payment bonds are required if applicable. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, or a certified check from an FDIC-insured financial institution, equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. Performance and Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price is required if applicable. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the bid date. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The goal for Minority and/or Women Business Enterprise participation is MBE 10% and WBE 6%; each goal must be met separately.
