Site work and paving for a road / highway in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are invited for the 2026 Road Improvement Project in East Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The work generally consists of furnishing all equipment and labor for, but not necessarily limited to: paving sealing (1 location), 9.5MM overlay (3,074 SY at 7 locations), and incidental milling and sealing. The full scope of work and locations are further specified in the project documents. All bituminous materials will be purchased by the municipality through the CoStars contract, with the contractor responsible for hauling these materials from the Lehigh Asphalt and Construction Company asphalt plant located at 25 Quarry Road, Andreas. All work must conform to the most recent edition of PennDOT Publication 408 unless otherwise specified. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be sealed, marked, and addressed as indicated in the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of 10% of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract price, with an approved corporate surety. Bids will be effective for 60 calendar days. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to waive any immaterial defects in the bidding process, in the Township's best interest.
