Sealed proposals for contract number VC26-04-01, "Repair and Resurfacing of County Roads" in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, are solicited. Bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope with identification of the project and bid branch, using the Itemized Proposal Form and Indiana Form 96, along with a non-collusion affidavit, certification of non-segregated facilities, and an equal employment opportunity form, all properly executed. Bids must include a bid bond or appropriate check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Evidence of a Drug Testing Policy is required. The awarded contractor must furnish a performance bond (Indiana Form 86A) for 100% of the award amount, effective for 12 months from acceptance of the completed work, and also a payment bond. Subcontractors and their percentage of work must be listed. Construction must comply with the contract drawings, specifications, special provisions, and relevant Indiana Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and Supplemental Specifications. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be given full opportunity to bid and will not be discriminated against based on protected classes. The Vanderburgh County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding process. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after opening without the Commission’s consent.
