Sealed bids are invited for furnishing all labor and materials necessary for the construction of the 55th Street Resurfacing project. The scope includes removing asphaltic pavement, adjusting manholes, adjusting valve boxes, crack filling, and placing an asphaltic pavement surface course. All work must be performed according to the specifications on file. Each bid must include the full name of every person or company interested and be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check for five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Kenosha, to guarantee contract execution if awarded. Bid documents can be obtained online for a fee, and the "Bidder's Proof of Responsibility" form must be completed and returned not less than five days before the bid opening. Bidders must comply with Section 5.001 of the Code of General Ordinances for the City of Kenosha regarding Protection In Public Bidding and must furnish Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance as specified. The City of Kenosha reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept any bid considered most advantageous to the City.
