The work involves the removal and disposal of Asbestos Containing Material and Universal Waste, the razing of the structure(s), and the restoration of the lot(s) at 4616 24th Street, Kenosha, WI 53144. The proposer must be certified by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to perform asbestos removal and disposal, or must subcontract with an entity so certified, and provide proof of certification. All required reports for asbestos removal and disposal must be filed in accordance with Federal and State law, rules, and regulations. All regulated materials shall be removed prior to razing the structure(s). Proposals must include a complete list of all subcontractors, major material suppliers (those providing over $5,000.00 in materials), and disposal sites, noting the class of work each will perform and including applicable license or permit numbers for regulated materials. Alternate methods for environmental process, abatement, remediation, or disposal may be proposed with costs separately noted. The City reserves the right to reject proposals the City deems incomplete, unqualified, or nonconforming. The selected proposer must execute a contract on City forms and perform all work in accordance with the contract. Each proposer is required to inspect the site and sign in, or make inspection arrangements with City staff prior to submitting a proposal. Proposals will not be accepted from anyone who has not inspected the site. Proposers must provide their own lighting and ladders for inspection. All required documents must be submitted on City forms.
