The work consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 3,900 linear feet of Kopp Road with four bid alternates in addition to the base bid. Roadway rehabilitation includes excavation of existing roadway shoulder material, widening of the existing roadway base, addition of gravel base over the existing pavement and pulverization of new and existing material, regrading of pulverized material, proof roll of roadway base, and any required undercut. The base bid also includes traffic control, driveway replacements, associated erosion control, and restoration as indicated in the construction plans and documents. Bid alternates include options for either chip sealing of the pulverized material or installation of a 4-inch Asphaltic Concrete Pavement roadway, as well as options for either dense graded base or recycled asphalt shouldering if asphalt pavement is awarded. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by bid security made payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the bidder's maximum bid price, in the form of a certified check or an electronic bid bond.
