The U.S. Coast Guard requires a qualified contractor to perform propulsion shaft and rudder alignment services for an 87' Coast Guard Cutter (WPB), in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). The work will be performed at USCG Base Ketchikan, 1300 Stedman St. Ketchikan, AK 99901. Bidders must submit a brief technical narrative (no more than 3 pages) describing their approach to the alignment procedures and the specific tooling (e.g., laser, optical) to be utilized. Bidders must also provide a capability document (no more than 5 pages) detailing past performance on at least two similar projects involving shaft or rudder alignment on vessels of similar size and complexity, and provide a firm-fixed-price for the job. The evaluation will consider technical factors, past performance, technical capability, and price, with technical factors being significantly more important than price. The contract type is firm fixed price. Offerors must confirm their ability to meet the desired start date or propose an alternative.
