Site work and new construction of a civil project in Pennsville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.

This project includes replacing the existing 6-inch asbestos cement force main serving Pumping Station No. 4 with a new 6-inch CLDIP and HDPE force main. Installation will be completed using both open cut and directional drilling methods. A key portion of the work involves a long directional drill under the New Jersey Turnpike, I-295, and the Salem Canal, with the new 6-inch carrier pipe installed inside 12-inch HDPE casing pipe using casing spacers. The project also includes new ductile iron yard piping at the pump station, air release and bypass vaults, a new terminal doghouse manhole, and full restoration of all disturbed areas. A bypass pumping setup will be required to keep the system in operation during the switchover. The work occurs within public right-of-way, and at the pump station site. This contract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10 and is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Bank. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
