The Contractor must provide water and wastewater engineering services on an as-needed basis. Services may include, but are not limited to, asset armoring and rehabilitation design, urgent collection and distribution system rehabilitation designs, condition assessments, inspections, evaluations, project management, engineering and technical support, and emergency engineering services. All services must be performed only when authorized through written Task Orders. Project management and administrative services are needed to support Task Orders, including coordination, schedule maintenance, reporting, and notification of field activities. Engineering design services are required for rehabilitation, replacement, relocation, upgrading, and/or armoring of water distribution and sewer collection system assets, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and WSSC standards. Design services may include site inspections, development of concepts, preparation of drawings and specifications, cost estimates, and construction phasing. Submittals are required at 30%, 70%, and 100% design completion for review and approval. When authorized, services may also include permitting support, condition assessment, geotechnical engineering, emergency engineering, specialty designs, and other technical and administrative support as described in individual Task Orders. No minimum volume of work is guaranteed. Compensation is tied to Task Order completion, and all work is subject to WSSC approval prior to payment.
