The Walled Lake Consolidated School District's Board of Education will receive firm prime contractor bids to provide signage at Western High School and Geisler Educational Service Center. The bidding documents consist of plans and specifications prepared by TMP Architecture. Each proposal must be submitted in duplicate on the forms furnished by the architect, completed in full, sealed in an opaque envelope, and marked with the name of the bidder and the project name. A bid bond executed by a Treasury listed surety company acceptable to the District or a cashier's check in the amount of at least 5% of the proposal is required for each proposal over $31,321. All proposals shall be firm for sixty (60) days. Successful bidders with proposals of $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond by a Treasury listed surety for 100% of their bid, included in the proposal cost. Bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any board member or the superintendent, as well as sworn and notarized statements for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act Affidavit of Compliance, Affidavit of Compliance - Criminal Background Checks, and Prevailing Wage (LEO) Registration. Bids not accompanied by these statements will not be accepted. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in whole or in part, waive any informality or irregularity, or award the contract to other than the low bidder.
