The project is designated as Marquette Greenway Trail Phase 4A - Kemil Rd/State Park Boundary Rd to Broadway. It begins at the State Park Boundary Road in Beverley Shores and continues east through National Parks Service property to Broadway in Pine Township, Porter County, Indiana. The project consists of constructing approximately 0.75 miles of new 10 ft wide multi-use trail predominantly through the Indiana Dunes National Park. Work includes corridor clearing, earthwork, construction of trail with 4" of HMA on 6" of Compacted Aggregate No. 53, concrete curb ramps at each street crossing, a steel truss pedestrian bridge, timber boardwalk on helical piers, and drainage improvements such as new culverts and trench drains. All labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary for the successful completion of the project are to be furnished. Sealed bids will be received as designated. Complete sets of bidding documents are available for download or inspection at the Porter Co. Department of Development & Storm Water Management. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. local time on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the issuing office, the Porter County Department of Development & Storm Water Management, 155 Indiana Ave., Ste. 311, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the meeting.
