The scope of work is the resurfacing of High Street in the Village of Custar under the PY2024 CDBG program. Bids are to be submitted sealed and marked accordingly. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check amounting to ten percent of the total bid. Upon awarding the contract, the successful bidder must provide a bond for the contract amount. The contractor will also be required to sign affidavits regarding non-delinquency of personal property taxes and child support compliance, and must observe specified employment and wage conditions. All required forms, such as those for Davis Bacon wage rates, noncollusion, and property tax, must be filled out and submitted. The owner requires that no known offenders or individuals convicted of sexual or domestic violence be allowed access to the facility or site. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities that do not affect competitive bidding. No official interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally.
