Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Burlington, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project consists of approximately 7 miles (24.5’ width) of paving surface improvements. The work includes 4 miles of 1” Profile Mill and 1½” Hot Mix Overlay on 12th Road between Emmer Road to Iris Road, and 3 miles of 2 ¾” Hot Mix Asphalt in 2 lifts, 1¼” leveling coarse and 1½” Overlay on 12th Road between Iris Road to Lynx Road. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the County Clerk’s office in the Courthouse in Burlington, Kansas. Copies of the drawings and specifications for bidding purposes may be obtained by qualified bidders at the County Engineer’s Office. Sealed bids must include a Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check in the amount of 5% of the bid as Bid Security, which will be forfeited if the successful bidder fails to execute and deliver the agreement, payment and performance bonds within ten days of Notice of Award. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities or irregularities.
