Site work for a water / sewer project in Saukville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a wastewater treatment plant.
Project involves clearing and grubbing and tree removal of approximately five (5) acres, grading approximately 57,000 cubic yards of earth to create two (2) building pads for future building use. Includes redistribution of topsoil seed and mulch approximately 16.5 acres. All Work is included in a single prime contract. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The Village of Saukville reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. Pre-qualification: Required. A Bidder's qualification statement must be delivered to the Village of Saukville at least 5 days before the Bid opening date. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bond or Certified Check payable to the Village of Saukville equal to 5 percent of the Bid. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to the Village of Saukville as liquidated damages. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all Plan Holder's of Record. Questions received from Bidders that do not, in Engineer's opinion, allow sufficient time to respond prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
