Question Deadline 05/19/2026 To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer at least 7 days before the advertised date for receipt of bids. In general, the Engineer will neither approve nor disapprove particular products prior to opening of the bids. The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following Proposed demo of existing bridge structure, installation of 8x7 concrete box culvert with wingwalls, parapets, energy dissipaters, and aprons, the removal and replacement of 500 yd 2 of asphalt, rip rap, erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work on the Project must be completed within 75 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. This project must be at substantial completion by August 3rd, for the beginning of the school year. The work will consist of the removal of the existing bridge structure and installation of an 8'x7' concrete box culvert with wingwalls, parapets, energy dissipaters, and aprons; removal and replacement of 500 square yards of asphalt, installation of rip rap, erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work must be completed within 75 consecutive calendar days from the notice to proceed, and the project must reach substantial completion by August 3rd. Bids must be submitted on provided Bid Proposal Forms, in accordance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications. Bid documents may be obtained from Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., with a non-refundable deposit. Sealed bids must be filed before the designated time and must include a Bidder's Bond for 10 percent of the bid amount, to be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to enter into a contract and provide the required Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Insurance Certificates. No bids can be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to disregard irregularities or informalities in proposals.
