Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a parking garage; for site work for a parking garage; residential development; and residential development.
Provide all labor, material, and equipment for the demolition and clearance of ten residential dwellings and nine garages/sheds and site clearance thereof. Bids must be submitted on prescribed forms furnished and completed in strict accordance with the provided instructions. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid proposal. Performance, Labor, and Material Men's Bonds of 100%, and Maintenance Bonds of 50% with good and sufficient surety are required as noted in the instructions to Bidders, to be filed within ten days of contract award. Contractors must ensure that employees, independent contractors, and applicants are not discriminated against based on race, color, religious creed, handicap, ancestry, national origin, age, or sex. Contractors must also utilize, to the greatest extent feasible, minority and/or women-owned business concerns within the municipality, county, or general trade area. The bidder must submit documentary evidence of contacted minority and women-owned business enterprises, and commitments made. Each bidder must visit the work site and fully acquaint themselves as to the difficulties and restrictions attending the performance of the contract. No bid or part thereof shall be withdrawn for sixty days from the bid opening date. Contractors must be able to initiate the work within thirty days of contract execution and complete the work within ninety consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The City of Sharon is seeking bids for the demolition and clearance of ten (10) residential dwellings and eight (8) garages/sheds. This project is funded by the Community Development Block Grant Entitlement, awarded to Sharon, Pennsylvania and the General Fund No oral interpretation will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the Contract Documents or any part thereof. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Local Public Agency. Any inquiry received seven or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration
