The work consists of replacing interior doors in 41 apartments, totaling roughly 158 doors, and changing the hardware on an additional 110 interior doors at Fornelli Manor, 800 Linden St., Sharon, Pa. 16146. The contractor must remove and dispose of existing doors, supply and install new flush hollow core doors, and Landquist & Son MAGIglide bifold doors. Included tasks are: - Removing existing bifold doors and hardware, patching and painting as needed (paint provided by MCHA). - Supplying and installing new MAGIglide bifold doors. - Measuring all finished openings for the new bifold doors and coordinating orders with Landquist & Son, Inc. - Installing transition strips where tracks are removed. - Replacing and installing new hinges, door stops, and passage sets on approximately 110 slab doors, replacing one hinge at a time. - Replacing specified slab doors to match existing and staining to match trim. - Replacing a pre-hung door and frame in unit 97, reusing or replacing trim as necessary, and notifying MCHA of pre-existing damage. - Following specifications for different unit types, including standard, accessible, and special-case units (full door and hardware counts provided in the document). - Keeping all work areas clean, with nothing left behind in occupied units. Question Deadline 01/22/2026 ny prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing. The only oral clarifications that will be provided will be those clearly related to solicitation procedures, i.e., not substantive technical information. The project timeline is 90 days from the notice to proceed. The contractor must submit a bid sheet, Certificate of Liability Insurance, addenda (if issued), W-9, 5% Bid Bond, 100% Performance and Payment Bond (if awarded), and completed HUD-5369-A. All bifold doors must be ordered from Landquist & Son, Inc. (no alternatives). The contractor must not move tenant belongings and must inspect each unit before work. Entry doors are not included in this contract.
