Site work for a water / sewer project in Warrenton, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of replacing a portion of the City's raw water transmission main, including installation of approximately 2,460 linear feet of 24-inch diameter HDPE pipe and 720 linear feet of 12-inch diameter HDPE pipe, along with associated valves, appurtenances, and connections to the existing system. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. This project is subject to Oregon Prevailing Wage Law (ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870) but is not subject to federal Davis-Bacon wage rates. Bidders must be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board and meet all applicable requirements of ORS Chapter 279C. The Citys water supply comes from the Lewis and Clark River and its tributaries located in the Youngs Bay watershed. Raw water is delivered to the Citys water reservoir through a 24-inch gravity pipeline. The existing 24-inch fiber reinforced pipe (FRP) has experienced several breaks in recent years. The City's Water Master Plan recommends rehabilitation or replacement of this section of pipeline. The project goal is to replace this section of FRP with a new HDPE pipeline. Sections RP-1 and RP-2 are complete. The current project sections are RP-3 and RP-4. Over the next several years, through projects such as RP-5 to RP-8, there will be complete replacement of the pipeline. 2. Project Scope of Work i. Furnishing, installing, and testing of: a. 2,460 LF of 24-in and 720 LF of 12-in HDPE (IPS) DR17 pipeline b. 1 Combination Air Release Valve Assembly c. 2 Blow Off Valve Assemblies d. Valve and Meter Vault ii. Other work elements include: a. 50 LF of concrete encasement for 24-in HDPE pipeline at CMP crossing b. Abandonment of existing FRP pipeline c. Connection to existing raw waterline d. Erosion control, work zone traffic control e. Fire Watch 3. Additional Project Items i. Work is within City utility easements on property owned by L&C Timberlands/ Nuveen Natural Capital. ii. A staging area is identified in the Construction Drawings. Contractor shall coordinate with the City and Property Owner regarding specific staging, stockpile, and access items, including scheduling coordination with L&C Timberlands logging operations. B. Project Funding 1. Local Funding by City of Warrenton Bid Question Submission Deadline May 15 Notice of Intent to Award May 29 Engineer's Opinion of Probable Cost: $1.2M to $1.5M 1. Notice to Proceed (tentative): July 1, 2026 2. Substantial/Final Completion: 120/ 150 calendars days *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
