Work will involve construction and commissioning of wastewater treatment facility additions and modifications. The City of Warrenton will receive electronic proposals for Construction Manager General Contractor (CM GC) services to perform work for the Warrenton Wastewater System Improvements Project. Construction of the Warrenton Wastewater System Improvements Project - Treatment Plant will include: Construction of new structures on existing site and/or within the footprint of an existing biosolids lagoon. Work involves quantification, removal, dewatering, and disposal of biosolids and modification to existing lagoon, including new berm construction. Rehabilitation of existing solids piping and valves for lagoons. Expansion of a sequencing batch reactor system, including a fourth basin, basin cover, pumps, blowers, aeration system, and piping modifications. (Note this differs from the "recommended alternative" from the 2024 Facility Plan.) Installing covers for and potential modifications to three existing sequencing batch reactor basins. Construction of an equalization tank with pumps and a cloth media disk filter for tertiary treatment. (Note this differs from the "recommended alternative" from the 2024 Facility Plan.) Potential modifications to existing open-channel UV system and utility water system. Construction of a septage receiving station, including storage and conveyance to treatment plant. Replacement and relocation of standby generator. Improvements to existing Influent Building and headworks system. General site improvements including paving and relocation of fence and gates. Improvements will be constructed within the approved budget and according to the approved project schedule. The existing wastewater treatment plant must remain fully operational and in continuous service for the entire duration of construction. The project is currently in the predesign phase and a Preliminary Design (Basis of Design) Report and Geotechnical Investigation are under development. The Warrenton Wastewater Facility Plan dated 2024 and a preliminary site layout are provided as part of the RFP.
