Surveying and providing a site plan of the project area is required. Widen and realign the corridor based on recommendations from the 2025 traffic corridor study, with minimal construction activities and reduced lane width per ODOT specifications. Right of way takes and easements should be avoided. Propose a multipurpose concrete sidewalk/path (not stamped) and decorative streetlighting on the east side of the roadway, with the City providing the lighting selection. Include public decorative benches, landscaping/streetscaping, ODOT type 6 combination concrete curb and gutter, and relevant electrical specifications for streetlighting. Modification or replacement of the existing storm sewer may be needed, with the City providing CCTV inspection. Decorative red brick crosswalks (or alternate options) are also to be proposed. Provide a 3-D visualization of one proposed intersection with the improvements. An emergency signal is to be proposed at the new fire station at Akins Road and Broadview Road, preferably using the existing mast arm, along with new black traffic signal mast arms at Akins Road to match those at Oakes Road. Propose a sidewalk extension connecting parcel 58304029 to a crosswalk at Town Centre Drive on the west side, minimizing relocation of utility poles and watermain modifications. Coordination with utility companies and the Cleveland Water Department is required as needed, with City assistance for these scopes. Deliverables include a full civil plan set stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio, an asphalt roadway cross section per ODOT specifications, material specifications, and an engineer's estimate. ODOT approval should be obtained as necessary, with the City assisting. Assist the City with construction funding procurement, anticipate a contract allowance for general design inquiries during construction, and provide for progress meetings as requested by the City Engineer. The City will manage project inspection and bid book creation/bidding.
