Renovation of a multi-residential development in Bloomington, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Each Bidder shall examine the Bidding Documents carefully and, not later than ten (10) days prior to the date of receipt of bids, shall make written request for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which it may discover. The Work generally consists of the following The Work generally includes, X-ray/Floor coring, electrical power and addition of access control cabling, hardware/locking hardware, for each suite and tenant rooms (floors ground, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, access control area in storage rooms fence/gates (secure enclosure area) to floors 2, 4, and 6. (5th and 6th floors are alternates). A unified bid is requested for all work in the project, which is to add card access to the building at Campus View Apartments, Indiana University Bloomington. The bid must include general, mechanical, and electrical construction work. Bidders must submit their bids electronically, be registered and signed into the specified plan room, and provide required documentation including a completed Minority, Women's and Veteran's Business Enterprise Participation Plan, a 5% bid security, and a compliant written drug testing program. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities. Incomplete bids, especially those lacking required documentation, may be rejected. The Base Bid may be held for up to sixty days, and Alternate Bids up to ninety days, before award. Failure of the successful bidder to execute a contract within 10 days after notice of acceptance may result in forfeiture of bid security as liquidated damages.
