Demolition, site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Sandstone, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; and 1,600-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.

The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Demolition, Excavation, Civil, and Electrical construction. The project includes new construction of a seasonal campground shower restroom building (approximately 1,600 SF), removal of existing shower restroom building, slab and foundation system, and existing septic tanks mounds; modification to existing utilities; installation of a new gravel parking lot (7 standard and accessible stalls), two new water hydrants (bottle filler spigot) and associated piping. Site work includes demolition, excavation, erosion control, concrete pavement, water distribution system, mechanical and electrical systems, site preparation, and landscaping. Additional site improvements at the Campground and Day Use Areas (Site 1 and Site 2) include upgrades to 6 campsite spurs to meet accessibility requirements; at Day Use Area - Site 2, demolition of existing picnic area restroom building, slab and foundation system, and septic, expansion and improvement of existing parking lot (202 standard and accessible stalls), expansion and improvement of picnic area and trailheads for accessibility and landscape screening, installation of new vault toilet, and installation of two new water hydrants (bottle filler spigot) and associated piping; at Day Use Area - Site 1, establishment of new gravel parking lot along existing park road (12 standard and accessible stalls) and connection of new parking lot to existing trail. Site work includes demolition, grubbing, excavation, erosion control, water distribution system, site preparation, and landscaping. Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor, not as a Subcontractor, the work for at least three contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since May 1, 2023, for construction projects that involved similar project scope of work and size. Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $1,000,000 or greater. Project Manager and Job Superintendent responsible for this project each has had at least five years of experience with work similar scope and value to this project.
