The work includes all labor and equipment to repair, replace, adjust, and maintain pumps, motors, and related mechanical systems; inspection; testing; and emergency response for the City’s water, sanitary sewer, wastewater pump stations, and City facilities. The Contractor must be able to respond to emergency repairs within 24 hours and to non-emergency repairs within 48 hours. The contract is for as-needed services and there is no guarantee of work. The contract may last from July 1, 2026 until June 30, 2029, with two possible 1-year renewals. Total charges per contract period are not to exceed $75,000 per year, and multiple contracts may be awarded. The contractor must possess a Class C-61/D21 (Machinery and Pumps), C-36 and/or C-10 license issued by the Contractors State License Board and provide proof with the proposal. Contractors and subcontractors must pay prevailing wage rates and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Proposals shall be submitted via the PB SystemTM web-based vendor and bid management system. The proposal must include a cover letter, company and staff profiles, qualifications, references, work plan and approach, facilities description, any proposal exceptions, and a fee and cost proposal. All required attachments must be completed, signed, and uploaded by the submission deadline or the bid will be nonresponsive and rejected. The City reserves the right to award, reject, or negotiate any parts of the proposal and may award multiple contracts as needed. The selected contractor must meet all insurance and licensing requirements outlined in the city’s standard agreement prior to contract execution. Fees are paid on a time and materials basis up to a negotiated maximum amount. The City does not pay for services in advance.
