The successful bidder must be a licensed plumbing contractor able to perform routine repairs, maintenance, and emergency plumbing and heating services at the Clifton Township Building location on an as-needed basis, upon request, including but not limited to: repair of water, sewer and drainage systems; maintenance and repair of heating systems; pipe, valve and fitting repair and replacement; toilet, sink and restroom fixture repairs; drain cleaning; water heater repair and replacement; emergency plumbing response; and permit acquisition as needed. All work must comply with the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code and applicable regulations. The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, supervision, labor, equipment, and materials, perform all work in a safe, professional and workmanlike manner, be responsible for any damage to Township property caused by its operations, remove and dispose of debris according to applicable laws, and ensure all vehicles and drivers are legally registered, inspected, insured, and licensed in Pennsylvania. The contractor must have experience with commercial or municipal buildings, maintain required insurance coverages, and be capable of responding to emergency calls within two hours of notification, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays. Bids must include a completed and signed bid form, proof of licensing, proof of insurance, and a signed non-collusion statement. Bids must be sealed and marked appropriately. The Supervisors reserve the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and, to the extent allowed by law, to waive technicalities as deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. Bids may be held by Clifton Township for up to thirty days for review and investigation prior to awarding the contract.
