The successful bidder must be a licensed electrical contractor able to perform routine repairs, maintenance, and emergency electrical services at the Clifton Township Building location on an as-needed basis, upon request, including but not limited to: troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems; repair or replacement of wiring, switches, receptacles and panels; lighting repair or replacement (interior and exterior); circuit breaker repair or replacement; installation or repair of code-required safety devices; emergency electrical response; permit acquisition as needed. All work must comply with the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code and applicable electrical codes. Contracted services must be performed at the Municipal Property, 361 State Route 435. Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, labor, equipment, and materials; all work shall be performed in a safe, professional and workmanlike manner; contractor shall be responsible for any damage to Township property caused by its operations; all debris shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; all vehicles must be registered, inspected and insured in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; all drivers must be licensed under the laws of the Commonwealth of PA to operate the vehicles used in contractor's work. Contractor must be properly licensed, have experience with commercial or municipal buildings, maintain required insurance coverages, and be capable of responding to emergency calls within two hours of notification, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays. Each bid must include: a completed and signed bid form (available at the Township Office), with all requested information completed; proof of licensing; proof of insurance; signed non-collusion statement. Bids must be sealed and marked: “SEALED BID - Electrical Services Clifton Township.” Sealed bids must be delivered to Clifton Township, Attn: Felicia Cook, Secretary, 361 State Route 435, Clifton Township PA 18424 no later than Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 12:00 pm. Proposals received after the deadline or not submitted in a sealed envelope will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. The Supervisors reserve the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, and to the extent allowed by law, to waive technicalities as deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. Bids may be held by Clifton Township for up to thirty days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
