Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mars, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Sealed proposals are requested for the following items: 30,953 square yards of milling of asphalt; 7,711 tons of asphalt wearing course, 9.5mm, in place, with fiber; and 43 inlet risers. Prevailing wage rates apply. Liquidated damages are set at $975.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by the municipality. For third class cities, bids must include a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the bid amount, payable to the municipality. For other municipalities, this is at their discretion. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract amount within 20 days of award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
