The project consists of removing and replacing the existing air handling unit (AHU) serving the Ericksen Center and providing new zone control through the installation of five new terminal air boxes (VAVs) with full integration into the existing Carrier i-Vu Building Automation System (BAS) via BACnet. If required during construction, the Contractor shall be responsible for providing temporary heating or cooling to maintain appropriate building conditions. An on site visit is required before the bid can be submitted. The low bidder must return the signed contract and performance bond, and will be required to sign a statement to comply with the City of Clinton's Safety Manual. Mechanical Scope of Work 3.1 Demolition and Removal o Disconnect and remove existing AHU, hot water coil, evaporator coil, refrigerant specialties, and associated components. o Disconnect existing supply air (S/A), return air (R/A), and outside air (O/A) ductwork as required. o Disconnect existing hot water supply/return piping from AHU to pipe branches off mains. o Disconnect existing refrigerant piping as required. o Remove and legally dispose of all demolished materials and equipment. 3.2 New Equipment Furnish and Install o Furnish and install new modular AHU, complete and operational. o AHU shall include new refrigeration specialties, new DX coil, draw-thru supply fan, and filter mixing box with 2" MERV 8 filters (or approved equal). o Provide all necessary transitions, fittings, supports, and sealing for reconnection to existing duct systems. Ductwork o Provide and install supply ductwork from AHU to each terminal air box (TAB/VAV) for five (5) zones. o Provide all duct fittings, transitions, hangers/supports, and sealing necessary for a complete installation. o Reconnect existing O/A and R/A ductwork to new AHU including transitions and gasketing/sealing as required. 3.4 Hydronic Piping and Hot Water Reheat o Provide and install five (5) new terminal air boxes (VAVs) with individual hot water reheat coils (one per zone). o Furnish and install new isolation valves for hot water supply and return as required for serviceability. o Furnish and install pipe, fittings, supports, and insulation for hot water supply/return piping serving all five (5) VAV reheat coils. o Furnish and install five (5) valve packages with actuators for VAV reheat coils. o Furnish and install balancing provisions (balancing valves/flow setters) and strainers as required to ensure proper flow and protect equipment.
