Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 460,000-square-foot, four-story above grade conference / convention center; 6,000-seat stadium; 1,000-room hospitality development; 2,000-space parking garage; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Renderings have been unveiled for the proposed Meadowlands Convention Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a large-scale public development planned on the site of the former Meadowlands Arena, formerly known as the Izod Center. The four-story complex is designed by TVS Design and will encompass approximately 460,000 square feet of convention facilities, including a 300,000-square-foot event space, a 100,000-square-foot meeting area with 75 breakout rooms, and a 60,000-square-foot ballroom. The development also includes a 1,000-room hotel with a 70,000-square-foot outdoor terrace, a 6,000-seat arena, new structured parking for roughly 2,000 vehicles, and enhanced pedestrian and transit connections. The project carries an estimated construction cost of $3 billion and is currently under review by the State of New Jersey, with final decisions anticipated in early 2027 and construction expected to take two to three years if approved.
