The new system shall be a comparable product to the existing netting system in terms of performance, durability, and safety. 1.2 The contractor shall be responsible for replacing the netting with #36 Gauge Twisted, Knotted Black Nylon Ball Safety System Net, 2.6mm (0.102362'') Diameter Twine, 345 lb. (156 kg.) Minimum Breaking Strength, 1-3/4'' (44mm) Square Mesh, 0.0425 lbs. per Square Foot, Sewn Rope Binding on Perimeter Edges, Strong Resistance to Ultraviolet (UV) Light Degradation or an equal product. The netting shall be 20 feet 6 inches H x 1,115 feet L. The contractor shall also be responsible for replacing all hardware and cable that go along with the net. Existing poles and foundation are not being replaced. The storm guard break-away pin shall be designed to meet the structural and operational demands of the netting system, including anticipated loading from Denver winter snow and weather conditions. The Contractor shall evaluate existing site conditions and recommend a break-away pin with adequate strength and performance characteristics. The proposed break-away pin shall be submitted to the City for review and written approval prior to installation
