The Town of Petersburgh Highway Department is soliciting bids for unspecified quantities of unprocessed granular material (run-of-bank gravel) and processed material for use in highway projects and for winter traction control throughout the 2026–2027 season. Awards will be made to all vendors submitting bids that meet the specifications. The Highway Superintendent or designee will select and purchase material based on cost, material specifications, availability, and proximity to the project. Vendors must comply with all appropriate local and state regulations, and each bank must be licensed for operation by the NYSDEC. Open-end awards will be made to all vendors meeting the specifications, with selection based upon best value to the Town, determined by combining materials and trucking costs relative to the distances from each project site. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and re-bid if necessary. Bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope labeled “Gravel and Ice Control Sand” with the name of the bidder on the outside. Partial bids are allowed. Vendors bidding on more than one bank location must submit separate bid forms for each location using the Official Bid Form.
