The project is for the 150 Pike Street Asphalt Replacement Project for Port Jervis City School District. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided, enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the project name, do not open instructions, and the bidder's name and address. Sealed bids will be received at the Port Jervis City School District, 150 Pike Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771, and must be received by 2:00 PM on May 18, 2026. Late proposals will not be opened. There will be a pre-bid walk-through meeting at the project site. All questions should be submitted prior to the meeting and will be answered then. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and any bid submitted shall be binding for thirty days after the award date. Full depth excavation and resurfacing of roadways and parking facilities . Full Depth Restoration to include : saw cut area to be removed ; excavate existing asphalt and unsuitable sub base to a depth of 6-8 " ; All excavated material to be disposed of offsite ; compact sub base with 8 ton or heavier vibratory roller or a vibratory plate compactor if area is small ; install 3 1/2 " of 3/4" stone and compact ; tack coat all edges; install binder to a 2.5 " compacted depth using 8 ton or greater roller . Resurfacing areas with material spreader and compaction with 8 ton roller with 1/2 ' wearing course or topcoat . Asphalt is to be applied with a paver machine unless agreed to by director of Facilities . Discuss with Director of Facilities which mix will be used before job begins ; seal all edges with a kettle heated sealer or overlay if part of a bigger job .
