This project involves asphalt milling, superpave wearing course installation, superpave base repair, asphalt leveling, pavement markings, and appurtenant work. Bidders must be pre-qualified with PENNDOT in accordance with Section 102.01 of PENNDOT Publication 408 - Specifications, latest edition. Prevailing wage rates apply as set by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. Only bonds from companies licensed in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted, and the bond must state this. Liquidated damages apply at a rate of $885.00 per calendar day. Bids must be unconditional. The Owners reserve the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids. The successful bidder will be required to pay a fee of 1/3% or a minimum $150 of the contract award value to "PennBID."
