Proposals must be addressed to the Assumption Parish Police Jury. Bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Bidding documents may be examined at the Office of C. J. Savoie Consulting Engineers, LLC, and paper copies can be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee. Bidders have the option to submit bids and bid bonds electronically through the designated website. Each Prime Bidder must obtain an original set of bidding documents. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. A pre-bid conference may be held to discuss the scope of the project, contract time, and other requirements. Each Bidder must deposit with the bid, security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. Bidders must show proof of being licensed to perform Heavy Construction in Louisiana and must be in good standing with the Federal Government, not debarred or suspended. Contractor's license number must be on the bid envelope. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and provide Certificates of Insurance. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The Contractor must begin mobilization within ten working days of the Notice to Proceed. Minority, female owned businesses, and businesses located in Assumption Parish are encouraged to participate.
