This project involves the construction of roadway improvements to enhance traffic flow and roadway geometry associated with the new air carrier terminal facility at Mobile International Airport (BFM). The proposed work includes modifications to traffic flow patterns along Michigan Ave, Avenue I, and Avenue M, as well as sections of roadway widening to accommodate improved turning movements and overall circulation within the existing BFM roadway network. The work also includes construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Broad Street, and associated grading and embankment construction, drainage system modifications, utility adjustments and relocations, pavement marking, signage, roadway lighting and associated electrical infrastructure, and site restoration. Bidders are advised that a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held and that electronic bid documents may be obtained at no cost from the Mobile Airport Authority website.
