Furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of 2021 and 2022 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) leveling and resurfacing improvements to Rhone Street, totaling 0.232 miles in the City of Sparks, Georgia. All work on the project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Sparks in the amount of at least five percent of the lump sum bid for the complete work. If awarded the contract, the bidder must promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract amount. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, applicable Supplemental Specifications, and any Special Provisions contained within this contract are applicable. All materials, workmanship, and testing must meet GDOT Specifications. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which may be in the best interest of the owner. The owner has the right to add or delete from the contract once awarded. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after the bid opening. Pre-qualification requirements: The contractor must be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration, or shall be approved in writing prior to bid opening by the City of Sparks. A copy of the contractor's "Notice of Contractor Qualification" as issued by GDOT or a copy of an approval letter from the City of Sparks must be submitted with the bid. All bidders must receive the bid package from the Engineer to be considered certified. Bids from non-certified bidders will not be considered.
