The City of Bowling Green is requesting Qualification Statements from professional engineering firms to provide surveying, engineering design, and related services for the North Main Street Shared Use Path project, spanning Poe Road to Nims Road. The selected consulting firm will deliver design-related services, while the City will handle bidding, construction administration, and inspection services. The selected consultant must coordinate with Lucas County’s NEPA consultant to incorporate any necessary information into the plans. The scope of work includes: land surveying of the project corridor; preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; design of the shared use path and associated improvements; driveway modifications; utility coordination and relocation; drainage evaluation and modifications; traffic signal improvements (Poe Road to Newton Road); evaluation and design of pedestrian hybrid beacon crossing(s); preparation of right-of-way plans; and right-of-way acquisition services, which may include title searches, legal descriptions, appraisals, and negotiations. Prohibited communications include any discussions or marketing activities related to this specific project. Allowable communications are limited to technical or scope-related questions specific to the project or RFQ requirements.
