This is an airport fuel farm construction project involving the construction of a new fuel farm at Duluth International Airport. The work includes three above-ground storage tanks (one 10,000-gallon unleaded, two 10,000-gallon diesel), the creation of new fueling areas with pumps for maintenance equipment and rental cars, and surrounding pavement work. The project consists of installing three new pumps (two diesel and one unleaded) for maintenance equipment and one unleaded fuel pump for rental car companies, including all associated pavement. Specialized fuel system capabilities and prevailing wage compliance may be required. All bids must be submitted electronically through Bid Express. Bid bonds must also be submitted electronically, or by prior arrangement if using a certified check or bank draft. Email bids will not be accepted. The City of Duluth reserves the right to reject any or all bids, split the award, or waive informalities, irregularities, or minor deviations from specifications if deemed to be in the best interests of the City. Price may not be the only consideration for bid award. Bids must remain firm for a minimum of 90 days. All contractors and subcontractors must pay prevailing wages as established by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, with failure to comply potentially resulting in civil or criminal penalties.
