Demolition and new construction of a multi-residential development in Sharpsburg, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-unit multi-residential development.

Separate sealed bids are requested for the demolition/clearance and asbestos removal of one house and the provision/installation of one State Building Code modular house. The demolition and asbestos removal must be completed within 45 days from the Notice to Proceed. Evidence of insurance is required before the start of any work. The contractor will be selected based on the lowest responsible proposal. The project is funded by a federal grant and all federal CDBG requirements apply, including compliance with Section 109 and E.O. 11246 (non-discrimination in employment), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Anti-Kickback Act, E-Verify Regulations, and Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. Participation from Small, Minority/Women Owned Businesses, Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB), and Section 3 (low income) businesses is encouraged. Bidders must not be debarred from receiving state or federal contracts. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. Completely demolish the single wide manufactured home structure from the property. Remove all debris/garbage around the home. Completely remove one (1) tree; tree is located at the right front side of lot near the ditch; including removal of tree stump below ground level and any roots above or around the ground. Remove all the vegetation and debris around the house. Remove concrete pad, remove two (2) sheds and lean-to. Also remove clothes line poles. Grade site, clean and level. Haul in sufficient fill dirt to cover holes and disturbed areas and to provide positive drainage. Cost of dirt to be included in lump-sum proposal. Re-seed and hay disturbed areas. Proposal to be turnkey and to include all costs of disposal, including tipping fees to County landfill, labor, materials, permits, demolition permits, insurance, etc. Contractor is to provide copies of landfill tickets and proof of payment to the landfill. Contractor is to provide copies of invoices and proof of payment for any subcontractors that perform any work at job site. Contractor shall obtain and provide copy to the Town of Sharpsburg, Demolition Notification Permit from NC Health Hazards Control Unit (HHCU) Owner to have LP gas tank removed before demolition begins.
