The project involves painting of the metal roof at 502 Boeing Street, Pasco, Washington, at the Tri-Cities Airport. The contractor’s bid should include cleaning, pressure washing, and preparing the metal roof, applying a rust primer sealant, and applying a topcoat metal bonding paint, white. The metal roof is approximately 7,600 square feet. Product submittals must be approved by the Port prior to use. Proposals are to be prepared on the standard proposal form and placed in a sealed envelope marked with the appropriate project title and the company name. No stipulations or qualifications are allowed on the bid form. A certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for at least 5% of the total base bid amount must accompany each bid. Contractors must be on the Port’s Small Works Roster to be eligible to bid. Work must begin within 10 days after contract execution and be completed within 45 calendar days. Bids received after the opening time cannot be considered, and no bid may be withdrawn for four weeks after the bid date. Discrepancies in bid mathematics will be resolved in favor of unit prices, correct sums, and numbers written as words.
