The work consists of chip seal surfacing and epoxy paint striping on various county roads and Rural Improvement Districts in Lewis and Clark County, Montana, as specified in Appendix A – Locations, Descriptions, & Estimated Quantities, to be completed by the date stated in Article 4 of the Agreement. All bids must include a bid bond or other security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Successful bidders must provide approved Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Required insurance must be provided by the successful bidder. All laborers and mechanics must be paid prevailing wage rates for highway construction services. Bids may only be withdrawn as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The county reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, postpone the award for up to sixty (60) days, and accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the Owner’s best interest.
