Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Helena, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The work includes the removal and proper disposal of asbestos-containing materials such as floor tile, floor tile mastic, vinyl sheet flooring and adhesive, mudded pipe joints and fittings, chalk boards, and chalkboard adhesive. The project is a lump sum bid for one overall contract. Bidders are highly advised to visit the site to familiarize themselves with the conditions and verify quantities of materials to be removed. A pre-bid walk-through will be conducted at the main entrance to the building. A bid bond of 10% of the total bid must be submitted. Successful bidders must provide a performance bond, and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract. Each bidder and subcontractor is required to have a valid Montana Public Contractor's License in the proper classification. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least 30 days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids except as noted in the instruction to bidders. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities.
