Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Helena, Montana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and 70,000-square-foot educational facility.
The project is for Plumbing and HVAC work at Kessler Elementary School. Golden Eagle Swank, LLC is the General Contractor/Construction Manager for the Helena School District and intends to qualify and select Plumbing and HVAC contractors for Preconstruction and Construction services for divisions 22 and 23. The Mechanical scope is split into two bid packages: Plumbing and HVAC. This project follows Montana Prevailing Wage Rate requirements. The selected subcontractor is expected to provide input on materials, methods of construction, constructability, scheduling, and cost estimating during the Preconstruction phase, culminating in a Guaranteed Maximum Price at a later date. They must also provide input for Bid Packs to allow fair bidding by material suppliers. In the Construction phase, the subcontractor must provide all materials, tools, labor, and equipment required for the construction portions and must be able to provide Payment and Performance bonds. The project requires the demolition of the existing school and construction of a new school totaling approximately 70,000 square feet. The project is to be fully complete and ready for occupancy at the start of the 2028 school year. Subcontractors must submit documentation in the form required by the RFQ/RFP.
