The project involves the addition of a new Interventional Radiology Operating Room #1 on the first floor (Level 1) of USA Health System – Children's and Women's Hospital, located at 1700 Center Street, Mobile. The renovation is phased in four stages and affects the surgical department, medical records area, and surgical business office. Work includes demolition of existing spaces to accommodate the new owner-furnished IR Bi-Plane, along with all necessary infrastructure for full operation. Mechanical work includes modification to the air handling unit and HVAC ductwork for the Bi-Plane equipment closet. New ductwork, connected to the existing HVAC system, will replace the current ductwork for both procedure and control rooms. Electrical work includes new service panels, power, LED lighting, and service for the functional operation of the Bi-Plane. The project also includes new finishes such as sheet vinyl flooring, gypsum board, wall protection, and acoustic ceiling tiles, plus coordination for vendor-provided imaging equipment to complete the procedure and control rooms. Pre-qualification is required for this project.
