All questions concerning the Project should be submitted in writing to the Architect's office, attention: Sarah Hicks: sarah.hicks@partnerarch.com and/or Mitch Peters: mitch.peters@partnerarch.com. Sealed proposals are invited for Breezeway Alterations at 1255-A Dauphin Street on the campus of Alabama School of Mathematics and Science. The project impacts the first, second, and third floors of the East Breezeway between the Administration Building (Bldg. A) and the Ben May Building (Bldg. C), and includes demolition, expansion of the existing second and third floor walkways, new door installations on the second and third floors of Building A, and complete finishes. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond for at least five percent (5%) of the bid, up to $10,000. Bidders must be properly licensed and include current Alabama General Contractor's License information. Performance and Payment Bonds for the full contract amount and insurance certificates are required at contract execution. Major subcontractors and suppliers must be listed with the bid or as permitted. Additional requirements are in the Project Manual. Bidders need to request project documents from the Architect to be included on the official plan holders list and receive addenda. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for General Contractors planning to submit a bid. Bids must use the forms provided in the Project Manual. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
