The City of Tukwila is soliciting interest from consulting firms with expertise in Civil Engineering Design for the South 124th/50th Place Intersection Reconfiguration project. The work includes utility coordination, design (30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% submittals) to bid-ready documents (Plans, Specifications, and Engineer's Estimate), and necessary permitting. Proposed work includes reconfiguring the intersection at S 124th St/50th Place S to remove the eastbound slip lane, establish protected pedestrian facilities on both sides of S124th from 49th to 51st Pl, extend the south edge of 124th walkways onto 50th Place and tie in to existing paths at S 125th, and provide new stormwater treatment/rain garden in old slip lane right-of-way. The project duration is approximately one year, with an option for extension at the City's discretion. Submittals shall take the form of a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), no longer than 15 pages (excluding dividers and resumes), on 8-1/2 by 11 paper using a minimum of 11-point font. Submittals must include the RFQ title, project title, firm name, and designated contact person's information. Electronic copies must be submitted by the specified deadline.
