The project includes removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter, cross gutters, driveway approaches, ADA curb ramps, and all appurtenant work at multiple locations within the City of Lawndale. Bids must be submitted to the City Clerk. Bidders must include on each sealed bid envelope the words "PROJECT NO. BN-2603-03 - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project 602748-25, Sidewalks & ADA Ramps Project," and address it to the City Clerk, City Hall, in Lawndale, California. The Prime Contractor must have a valid California State Contractor's License with a classification of "A," and must warrant that it and all subcontractors are properly licensed. Each contractor and subcontractor listed on the bid must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond, issued by an "admitted surety insurer" for an amount no less than 10 percent of the total base bid amount. Attendance at a mandatory Section 3 Pre-Bid Meeting is required. All relevant contract documents, plans, and specifications will be available for review online. The engineer's cost estimate for the project is $165,000 The project involves reconstructing curb ramps and sidewalks at various locations throughout Lawndale to ensure pedestrian safety and uninterrupted flow, with necessary traffic control measures.
