Site work and paving for a water / sewer project in Youngwood, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The construction work consists of storm sewer improvements that include inlets and a graded roadside swale. There will be some road paving and outfall rock lining. Some earthen excavation or benching may be needed. Digital and hard copies of the contract documents must be obtained at the office of Gibson-Thomas Engineering Co. upon a nonrefundable payment for each set. All contractors must adhere to Act 127 of 2012 Public Works Employment Verification Act, Non-Discrimination/Sexual Harassment Provisions, State Contractor Responsibility Program, Americans with Disability Act, and Anti-Pollution Regulations. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements will apply and labor compliance is mandatory. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or Bidder’s Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal, in favor of Youngwood Borough. Bid packages must be clearly marked with "Proposal Enclosed" including the job name and contract number on the lower left corner of the envelope. No faxed bids will be accepted. No bid bond shall be waived or returned if the bidder cannot comply with the requirements set forth in the plans, specifications, applicable statutes of Pennsylvania, or any municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after filing. The council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in bids received.
