The Project generally consists of the installation of 5 concrete conservation release weirs on the bypass streams of the Lofty, Mahanoy No. 2, Pole Run No. 4, Wastehouse No. 4 & No. 3 reservoirs. The specific items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. Bidding documents are available at no cost online. Each bid must include a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Mahanoy Township Authority, or a satisfactory bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide satisfactory performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply. Bidders are subject to the Public Works Employment Verification Act and must submit the required verification form. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review and qualification purposes, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within 120 days of bid opening. Question Deadline 06/05/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer via online, Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered
