Description

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in New Buffalo, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

The work includes construction of a new 160-ft long prefabricated pedestrian bridge adjacent to the existing Whittaker Street bridge over the Galien River. The project also involves new steel framed concrete boardwalks and new sidewalk to connect the bridge to the existing path. Construction will require driving steel-encased concrete piles and pile-supported abutment installation with temporary cofferdams with dewatering. Bids are requested for the City of New Buffalo Pedestrian Bridge Project.
