The project consists of the construction of the West Main & South Long Sewer and Watermain Replacement Project in Shelby, Ohio. Bidders must purchase and download an electronic set of plans and bid documents via the KEM website. Each proposal must include a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond as per Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, and bonds must be issued by a surety company licensed in Ohio. Proposals must include the full names of all parties submitting and interested in the bid, and evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Contractors and subcontractors must, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements under Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required, and bidders must adhere to prevailing wage rates as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. All bids must be plainly marked as relating to the West Main & South Long Sewer & Watermain Replacement Project. The City of Shelby reserves the right to reject any and all bids and will not entertain bids from parties in default to the City of Shelby, Ohio. Partial progress payments will be made.
